THE plan by the Government to bring in 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers must be viewed with extreme caution. Not only will it contribute to the increasing number of foreign workers, including Bangladeshis, there are also other problems which could emerge and affect our security.
This is because it is becoming increasingly clear that an intolerant version of Islam is spreading across Bangladesh. Extremist groups infiltrate society, successfully changing the way they dress, practise their faith, and interact with non-Muslims and secular Bangladeshis.
