Malaysians do want faster Internet packages

I DISAGREE with the Communications and Multimedia Minister’s statement, “Most Malaysians choose slower cheaper Internet, says Salleh Said Keruak” (The Star, Sept 28). The minister may have been furnished with outdated and inaccurate information.

Although he said the minimum speed in Singapore is 4 to 5 Mbps, the minimum speed provided to homes there is actually 100 Mbps and can go up to 1 Gbps.
