THE Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) views with utmost seriousness the latest tragedy involving a lady police officer being killed when she was hit by a Mat Rempit at a roadblock along Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing in Johor, “Cop killed in road mishap” (The Star, Sept 7).

According to Johor police chief SDC Rusli Ahmad, a group of motorcyclists believed to be Mat Rempit tried to speed through a roadblock when one of them hit Inspector Margaret Tagum Goen, 32, (pic) from Sarawak.
