Tougher strategies needed to fight dengue

BASED on statistics released by the Health Ministry, the number of dengue cases reported between Jan 1 and Aug 8 is 73,263. This reflects an increase of 29% when compared to the corresponding period in 2014.

Clearly, the numbers tell us we are fighting a losing battle and that the strategies we are using to control the disease are not working.
