Malaysian jobs for Malaysians

THERE was much opposition among my fellow Malaysians to refugees staying in Malaysia whether under the UNHCR programme or not, as these people would be using up our country’s resources without contributing anything in return.

But the refugees are here to escape certain death and persecution in their own country, taking a big risk in coming here in the first place, and it would certainly be inhumane to repatriate them.
