Give incentive for people to separate waste

IT was interesting to read June H.L. Wong’s column “Up close and personal with trash” (The Star, July 1) and the subsequent reports on Solid Waste and Solid Cleansing Management Corp’s (SWCorp) awareness efforts in Putrajaya (The Star, Metro, July 8).

Wong was right about the difficulties the public will face in the proper segregation of waste in the early stage of implementation of the law. It will take time for everyone to make segregation of waste a habit.
