SPAD should rethink stand on Uber taxis

IN the last month, I have been using Uber almost exclusively to get around the Klang Valley. I find the service and pricing much better than normal taxis.

Their vehicles are all clean and the drivers are mostly former taxi drivers. But best of all, the pricing is absolutely transparent. Unlike my experience with normal taxis, I am never refused a ride to any destination, never have to haggle for a price, and never encounter a rude driver. All transactions are cashless and done electronically, and as the driver’s personal information and photo are sent to my phone, I feel safe when using this service.
