Parents, be mindful of the safety of your kids

IT pains me to read about children who lose their fingers or get their hands blow up while playing with fire crackers/fireworks during the festive season. When such mishaps or accidents happen, is it the fault of the child, the minder, or the parents?

In my opinion, it is certainly the parents who should prevent these accidents from happening. If they are not party to the purchase of the fire crackers/fireworks, they are not looking after their children properly.
