Dedicated to a life of service

WHEN my letter, “Three cheers to the rude driving instructor” (The Star, May 15), was published, I was elated. But my joy was tinged with a little sadness because the person who always congratulated me every time my letter appeared in your newspaper had been gone for 15 days.

Uncle Donald Wee (pic) was the kind of reader that every newspaper wants. He never failed to read The Star, poring over the articles assiduously, highlighting the information that he found interesting or pertinent, scribbling short notes at the side and cutting out articles that were worth keeping.
