PARENTS these days provide cars for their children once they enrol for college. These young drivers don’t observe the traffic rules. They drive on emergency lanes, beat traffic lights, exceed the speed limit and parking indiscriminately.
Two days ago when I was at a police station to check on my summonses I met a father who told me that his two children had a total of 30 traffic offences. As the cars were registered by the parents, they had to withdraw RM9,000 from their fixed deposit to pay the summonses.
