I DISAGREE with the director-general of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) Prof Dr Wong Shaw Voon on the need to carry out a “social impact” study before making child seats in cars compulsory in Malaysia.

Firstly, there should be no compromise where safety is concerned, let alone for children who are not able to think for themselves yet.
