Public hospitals help to keep medical costs down

AS a chronic anxiety disorder patient, I have to spend approximately RM2,500 per year for consultation and medication at a psychiatric clinic in town. Anxiety disorder is not considered a critical illness and therefore there is no income tax relief for my treatment.

Due to the recent hike in the cost of medicines, I was advised by a relative to opt for treatment at a Government hospital. He recommended Putrajaya Hospital and I agreed to give it a try.
