HAVING just returned to Penang after two months abroad, I had expected the usual gentle pleasure of cruising back to George Town via the Penang ferry.
A couple of months ago, it took about three minutes from the coach station to the foot of the escalator up to the ferry and then another two minutes through the delightfully antiquated turnstile.
