We don’t use meters!


ON the subject of taxi drivers refusing to use their meters, more often than not, we hear that there are only a few “black sheep” around and that the majority of cabbies are law abiding. I beg to differ.

I have been to Georgetown, Penang many times – the last was during the recent Chinese New Year holidays – and my experience is that not a single taxi driver was willing to use the meter.
