I WAS at a shopping mall in Subang Jaya where Datuk Muhammad Nor Khalid, popularly known as Lat, was the guest-of-honour at a gathering for Malaysian cartoonists, animators, caricaturists and industry players.

Lat (left) had just won second place in Japan’s Gaiman awards in the overseas category for the Japanese version of Kampung Boy.
