Too many buildings, vehicles the cause

I REFER to the letter “Carpooling via app can do the trick” (The Star, Nov 21) by YS Chan. While the writer is talking about a new technology called Tripda for carpooling for long distance travellers on the congested main highways, the most pressing problem facing the rakyat daily is the chaotic traffic congestion on roads leading to and from Kuala Lumpur/Petaling Jaya, which must be given top priority.

He has rightly pointed out the huge increase in traffic is because of our unrestricted existing system of acquiring vehicles compared to other developed countries.
