LOOKING at the major contributary causes to crime and criminal activities in the country, many of which are drug related, it is incumbent upon the Government to initiate and take the lead to implement a policy to provide rehabilitated drug addicts with employment in the public sector.

Providing employment to former drug addicts to keep them away from crime is essential as this has been identified as one of primary causes of snatch thefts and other petty crimes in the country.
