A school with rich culture and ethos

AS we prepare for Merdeka, I am reminded of the role of schools in forging national unity. The nostalgia was greatest on Aug 7 when we celebrated the Kuala Lumpur Methodist Girls’ School (MGS KL) Founder’s Day and the launch of its Heritage Gallery.

MGS KL, at 118 years old, is one of the earliest all-girls’ school to be set up at a time when girls were not encouraged to venture out of the house, let alone go to a school run by missionaries.
