400 took part in 1915 mutiny against British

I REFER to the report “The Singapore mutiny” (The Star, June 28). Based on the Colonial Office records and other authoritative sources, I would like to rectify numerous factual errors in it.

First, the 1915 Mutiny was a rebellion against the British started and conducted almost entirely by about 400 men of the Right Wing (Rajput Muslims) of the 5th Light Infantry regiment (totalling about 815 men) of the British Indian Army stationed at Singapore.
