Falling branches pose danger

ANOTHER WAY TO IDENTIFY DISEASED TREES IS BY LOOKING AT THE LEAF COLOUR. IF IT TURNS YELLOW OR SPOTS DEVELOP ON IT, IT MAY BE SICK. (THE TREE IS AN ANGSANA TREE)

ON APRIL 8, a branch from a tree in the parking lot in Taman Tasik Permaisuri, Cheras fell on some cars parked there. Luckily no one was hurt as the incident happened before 7am although the park is popular among people who go there to walk, jog or exercise.

The branch was about 5m long, and the tree did not look healthy as its bark was white. The next day, another branch from another tree fell across a path in the park.
