THE recent controversy over child custody involving S. Deepa and Izwan Abdullah has led to debate and unnecessary division even among those whom I have always viewed as rational and logical in their views.
Many, even those close to me both professionals and ordinary folks, have allowed their religious sentiments to override their perspective, using the law and Constitution as arguments to favour their perspective.
