Kidex will cause more traffic jams

THE proposed Kinrara–Damansara Expressway (Kidex) which is to

connect Damansara to Kinrara is set to be the world’s first “living

skyway” cutting through various residential areas, one of which is Bandar Kinrara 2.

According to their initial plan,

the proposed Kidex will be built over houses with the possibility of some having to be demolished

in order to make way for this project which makes this statement “...the new Skyway, vehicles will have an alternative highway to the LDP and consequently leave our neighbourhoods alone.” taken from their information brochure.

How ironic! The information brochure also states that Kidex’s aim is to cut travelling time and ease traffic flow between Damansara and Kinrara.

There is the LRT project in the respective areas that once completed would definitely encourage the use of public transport, which is more green.

The construction of Kidex would cause an increase in traffic jams as its route will pass through areas of dense population.

Instead of building the world’s first living Skyway, wouldn’t it be better to boast the world’s best public transport system?
