Name and shame the pranksters

I REFER to the article “99% of calls to 999 are hoaxes” (The Star, Jan 17) which quoted Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan saying that 99% of the 2.8 million emergency calls made to 999 each month were prank calls.

All right thinking Malaysians will surely agree that prank calls are a threat to the safety of lives and property as they hamper genuine emergency calls.
