I READ with sadness the report “Couple has no place to house their strays” (The Star, Sept 11) where Pak Mie and Mak Intan’s had been asked to evacuate their premises by the Alor Setar City Council.
I am a Muslim and I fully support this couple in what they are doing for the stray animals.
I think they are helping the local council by taking care of the stray animals!
But instead of thanking them, they are now being forced out. Where are they to go? Even an alternative site has not been provided.
Most people have no heart for animals. This is because animals cannot talk and express their feelings.
I have taught my two little girls the meaning of love and compassion through our love and care for animals as well as people.
This world would certainly be a better place if we can do more rather than just condemn people like Pak Mie & Mak Intan who are giving their life for the sake of these animals. I can only imagine their frustrations right now.
I appeal to Malaysians to have a heart for animals. If you can’t volunteer your time, please support them through other means to help those who have no voice.
There are many organisations that need your help like the SPCA, PAWS, MDDB and the like.
My heart goes out to Pak Mie and Mak Intan’s animals .
Where will they go to? Just imagine the task of moving all the animals, it will definitely be traumatising for them.
Please, Alor Setar City Council show some compassion.
If you can’t help and care for the strays, please do not disturb those who have given their life to do that.
Let us all do something to help Pak Mie and Mak Intan today.
