Wise to ban the SM festival


I REFER to “Sexuality, religion and ethics” (The Star, Nov 8). The Seksualiti Merdeka (SM) festival, held annually since 2008, is to create awareness of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

I agree with the writer that the SM festival clashes with religious teaching, primarily Islam, besides being against the norm.
