Use the approved modes of transport, not touts

MALAYSIA Airports would like to offer our explanation to “Picking out KLIA touts is no easy task” (The Star, April 8).

We would like to thank the writer for his concern on the touts issue at KLIA. As the airport operator, Malaysia Airports views the touts issue seriously and has always been at the forefront of efforts to eradicate the touts’ activities.

Far from being in cahoots, as claimed by the writer, airport security has in fact been working vigorously with the Police and the Road Transport Department to eliminate the touts.

While we consider the writer’s claim to be unfounded, should he have any evidence which states otherwise, we will appreciate it if he can provide us with the evidence so we can investigate further.

Malaysia Airports seeks the public’s cooperation to avoid the touts’ services and instead use the approved modes of transportation from KLIA.
