Langkawi forests need to be protected

THE Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) urges the Kedah government to gazette all forests including mangrove ones in Langkawi as permanent forest reserves to protect this natural heritage from destruction.

CAP believes that if protection and conservation measures are not expedited, the forests in Langkawi will be destroyed due to rapid development.
