PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has made a rational and appropriate proposal for representatives of the Indian community and the Education Ministry to discuss the controversial novel Interlok with a view to resolving the issue amicably and in the true spirit of 1Malaysia.

A heart-to-heart dialogue and sensible discussion is the most appropriate approach to delve into the issue which arose from certain elements in the novel deemed offensive to the Indian community.
