I refer to the two letters published in your newspaper dated Nov 10 and 16 regarding kidney transplantation which also touched on the role of the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) in promoting organ transplantation.

Kidney transplantation is the preferred treatment for patients with end stage kidney failure (ESKF). Not all patients, however, are suitable and many will have to rely on dialysis to replace the functions of the failed kidneys.
