Train the orang asli

I REFER to your report “Perak to train orang asli” (The Star, May 12). It is a right move by the state government to improve the living standards of just not the ordinary Perakians but also the minority indigenous people.

The orang asli in Upper Perak who live in and around the gazetted Royal Belum rainforests, including the Temenggor dam, are just the right people to be trained as professional boat operators and forest guides if Royal Belum is to be made a world-class tourist destination.
