A FRIEND whose father was the Malaysian Ambassador to France had invited Datuk Ibrahim Ali and his wife (they were newly married then) to stay at the Embassy which was not far from where Ayatollah Khomeini was then living in exile from Iran.
Ibrahim made his way there where he ran across an Iranian student leader whom he had met a year earlier and who was now a revolutionary guard. That was how he gained access to the grand old man of the Iranian Revolution.
