I REFER to “Tourist disgusted with dirty beaches” (The Star, Dec 31). What a shameful reminder and a slap in the face for the relevant authorities in Penang who take lightly the state of our beaches, a vital tourism asset.
Just a few days earlier, The Star wrote on how the warmth and beauty of Penang kept tourists flocking to the island paradise year after year.
