I REFER to your report “Three Judges In 1988 Crisis Get their Ex-Gratia” (The Star, June 6) and would want to commend the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim for visiting the three former judges and personally handing the ex-gratia cheques to them.
It was a kind gesture, which speaks about the present Government’s sincerity of wanting to do something positive to address the judicial crisis of 1988, which to this day is still a contentious issue, and a thorn in the flesh for the Government, the judiciary and the public.
