RAISING funds to help mother Yong Lee Har to pay for the medical treatment of her two children who suffer from thalassaemia is one of the many thousands of cases handled by the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department which was set up in 1987. 

Datuk Michael Chong, 60, who heads the department, estimated the number to be around 60,000 to 70,000 cases.
