A relook to speed up hospital appointments

REFERRING to “Shocked by the delay in treatment at hospital” (The Star, Nov 27), I would like to apologise for the long wait for the appointment to see the specialist. 

As rightly pointed out, general hospitals are very busy and referral to specialist clinics are by appointment. Serious or urgent cases will be redirected to the emergency department immediately.
