WHILE it seems a very good proposition that smoother travel will occur from next year (“Smoother travel on NSE next year” – The Star, June 4), the issue at hand is how does PLUS manage or handle the existing situation i.e. between now and next year.
It is logical that once the additional lane is opened, traffic flow will be easier. However, the issue is not only about traffic along the NSE. It should be viewed as a national traffic management. This is especially so when we talk about managing or reducing accidents, especially during peak periods.
