OLIVIA Chong greets visitors to her restaurant with a smile and graciously invites them to have a seat. Her cheerfulness and warmth is genuine and belies the fact that more than a month ago she had lost close to RM30,000 to the floods that swept through her restaurant.
“When it happened, I was at a school hall helping flood victims from another part of town,” recalls Chong, 45, a member of Lions Club and MCA.
