PULAU Ketam could be a getaway for the weekend. There are no big buildings, roads or vehicles. People here get around by bicycle, motorbike or the occasional motorised bicycle.
A 30-minute ride in air-conditioned speedboats from Port Klang will take visitors to this island for seafood. Tourism, however, is not the main source of income for this island of 9,150 people. Commercial fishing provides income for 80% of the population.
