Don’t burden buyers to protect car makers

I am stupefied and appalled by the enormous difference in price between a foreign-brand car bought in Peninsular Malaysia and the same car bought in the Pulau Langkawi free port.

The mainland price of RM83,900 against free-port price of RM54,335 would translate it to an enormous difference of RM29,565; in short, the mainland car is 54% more expensive than the free-port car.
