I REFER to your report, “Three siblings found dead” (The Star, Dec 2). 

The tragedy highlights not only the menace of illegal money lending but, more importantly, the plight of the ordinary people who have to resort to borrowing from Ah Longs (loan sharks) to help them make ends meet.
