I REFER to Hisyam Basir's letter, “Time for cashless payment of toll” (The Star, Nov 3)
Firstly, to force every highway user to pre-pay their toll is unfair. The idea about paying in advance for future use of facilities is grossly unfair in any economic transaction, unless the operator offers some form of discount or rebate.
