MY NEPHEW died in an industrial accident in 1997. My brother, sister-in-law and niece (she was aged 12 then) received the survivor pension of RM342.71 monthly from the Social Security Organisation (Socso) for the three of them.

Effective this year, Socso has been paying RM217.37 to my brother and sister-in-law. According to Socso, my niece is now 21 years old and is not eligible for the pension anymore.
