MUST mosques look Moorish with bulbous domes, and arches for entrances? Must they strike for the sky with Turkic rocket-like minarets? Perhaps it is about trying to look awesome and majestic, or to show the ecumenical culture, hoping to become as universally Islamic as mosque architecture possibly can.
But would it be unwise for a place of worship to look like our own national mosque with its umbrella-like roof and entrances that declare an openness welcoming all and sundry?
