It was certainly a racy week at the beginning of the last fortnight for my old police force. On the afternoon of Jan 23, the report of the “Nude Ear-Squat” Commission was released to the public.  

The following day, the Prime Minister announced that the much-awaited Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) would be formed “as soon as possible, once the Attorney-General’s Chambers has presented its legal views”.
