THE most important statement to date on the continuation of the New Economic Policy was given by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in a written reply to MP Ahmad Shabery Cheek on Nov 23.
The Prime Minister stated that the NEP would continue to be needed as long as there exists economic disparity among the races in the country.
