I REFER to your report, “Malaysia rushes aid” (The Star, Oct 11), and am pleased with Malaysia’s response to help in the search-and-rescue operation in quake-ravaged Pakistan and our donation of RM3.8mil to its government.

As a small nation, our contribution is commendable and praiseworthy, in that, we sense the urgency to respond to our fellow human beings suffering in South Asia.
