IT was not all dry, serious work. The committee members were warmly hosted wherever they went. They were whisked from airports in government cars, or at the very least coaches, to top-grade hotels. 

During their stay, they dined lavishly, “reflecting the good relations between the local MPs, assemblymen and us,” said Tuaran MP Wilfred Madius Tangau who attended all the state hearings and took an active part in the discussions.
