BETTER late than never. The move by the Education Ministry to give recognition to schools that are more than 100 years old is certainly good news.
Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein Onn deserves to be commended for the bold decision. Under a special programme, the infrastructure and facilities of these schools would be upgraded so that they could be used as examples to other schools.
