DATUK Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has given an assurance that the Government will continue with the study loan scheme even though the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) is having difficulties in getting more borrowers to meet their financial commitments.

The Prime Minister’s statement is to be expected as there is no question that the scheme will be abandoned just because the borrowers have been slow in repaying the loans.
