Night markets cutting off access to shops

GOING to the pasar malam (night market) has become a way of life for Malaysians. Night markets seem to be everywhere these days, causing traffic jams and hardship to all who live or have shops located where they are being held. Rubbish is left behind everywhere the next morning.

It is particularly nightmarish when a pasar malam is right in front of one’s doorstep or shop for it cuts off all passage for both the owners and their customers.
